feeling before the trip

i will say this is the first time that i am going backpacking...pretty excited...vietnam has always been a country that people relate to war...probably due the notorious vietnam war...and that why most travellers fear to travel to the country...thinking that it might be dangerous and chaotic...of cos i do feel abit reserved in the first place...but i do think that it is a rather exotic place that is worth exploring...so here we go!
